MPA April Training Evolution

Date: 19 Apr 08

Weather: 51 to 76 degrees Fahrenheit (approximate); Wind: SW @ 15 mph. Overcast to partly sunny.

Location: Camp Stasa

Counties Represented: Oakland, Oceana, Macomb, Genesee, & Bay

Purpose: Basics – Movement & Patrol Base Drills

Highlights:

      1. Ruck (72 hr Pack List) Inspection –Contents and efficient packing check.

      2. Visual Signals – Fine tuning among the teams.

      3. Reinforced Triangle – More drilling.

      4. New Rifle Shakedown – Yet another M-14 type rifle showed up with a MPA member!
          Operations check, initial zero, etc.

      5. Mr. Stasa Visits - We enjoyed a nice half-hour visit and chat with Mr. Frank Stasa.

All in all, a great training day! Next month, we’ll be headed to Camp Savoy!
